First and fore mostly we are here to have fun, that being said however rules are essential to ensure the smooth running of the league and enjoyment of all.
Please listen to the TD, and abide by any decisions made by the TD, if there is a dispute or you feel a decision is not correct raise the matter with an admin at a later stage, please do NOT disrupt the tour or argue with the TD at the table.
There is a 3 strike rule while playing here against abusive behaviour and vulgar language:
1. You will be told;
2. You will be warned;
3. You will be dq’d from the tourney.
If ever there is a problem person in the lobby, WHE members are asked to either ignore them or mute them.
If a member adds to the disturbance, they will be penalized, this includes being DQ’d or boxed.
If you go alone on 9 you may be dq’d (at the TD’s discretion you may be warned if new or unaware of the rule otherwise it’s a DQ).
At NO time is this counted as a 2 point error it is either a DQ or a warning according to the TD's decision
If you go poof during a game you have 10 minutes in total per round to return, (clock will be stopped when you return and are showing as JOINED the table).
If you go poof again clock will be resumed from whatever time it was stopped at (TD's will use Cases boot timer or similar).
If you do not return at all within 10 mins you will have to be dq’d from the tourney
Members have 5 mins to get to the table once pairs are called , (playing a ladder, or rated game, jumping and not joining the room, or going afk and not joining table within 5 mins of being called will all cause you to be DQ'd). The exception to this is if a member was in the lobby and poofs, in which case the 10 min rule applies.
THERE ARE 2 SPECIAL EXCEPTIONS TO THE TIME RULE:
THEN THE HOST CAN MAKE A DECISION TO ADD 5 EXTRA MINUTES ON !!
The other EXCEPTION here is if a member is playing rated, this is NOT allowed and any member who does not come immediately to a table if called can be instantly DQ'd if in a rated game.
In order to keep tours running on time a sub will be used wherever possible when someone poofs or doesn't come to table, however at least ONE member of a team must be present to sub.
This mean no sub can be used in games where there are only 2 opponents, such as finals, specials using bots or other situations where there are no P’s. In these cases the clock will be used.
SLOW OR NO PLAY
Any player refusing to play will be given a 5 minute warning, then dq'd from the tourney.
(This behaviour may get you BOXED for up to 7 days or more)
If you get booted 3 times during the tourney you will have to be dq’d
If match is not finished in 20 minutes a winner may be declared.
Table will be timed by TD if exceptionally slow
Slow players will be asked 3 times by the td to speed up or reboot before being dq'd so please turn off im (or put on busy) during a tour.
Report all matches immediately to the td
Be respectful of your fellow players, if there is a problem alert the TD
During the final game or a game where only 2 opponents are playing against each other, players may use either Ps or Bots.
However should not enough P’s be available for both (and both be asking for a p) then bots will be used for both.
Direct family members or people sharing the same household will not be p'd together, however this is at the td's discretion.
*Please note this means one player may elect to use a bot and the other a p if that's what they desire.*
If the game is a special and this situation occurs then players will have a choice of reg STD with bots or red then black with bots.
If the tour is running late players may well be asked by the TD to use bots in the final, however they can also elect to play a 1st to 5 “quickie” instead.
During specials players have till the first card of the next hand is PLAYED to call an error. This is because some specials eg Reverse require all cards to be played before an error can be ascertained.
Watchers need to be league members unless granted special permission by the TD.
Please do not ask the Host to P in a final if there is a member available. The TD needs to be free to assist all members and therefore should not P unless there is no one else to do so.
In ladder matches it is the responsibility of the LOSER to report the match. Ask winner for exact ladder name and report match via the link on left menu of main page or…… more easily via the gold box half way down the main page.
Members may ladder one another up to 4 times per day.
As a courtesy to other members please ask in the LOBBY for someone to p you NOT in im.
To alleviate any suspicion of cheating TDs will cross pair those living in the same households or others as deemed necessary. This does NOT mean we suspect you of cheating but that we are cross pairing as to avoid any accusations.
